The Goldberg Variations are famous for a reason!
I downloaded these a few weeks ago and am currently learning to play variations six. Sure, they are challenging overall, but once one masters them one has a headstart on most other pieces from the Baroque and Classical period as the Goldberg Variations have as much power and speed with the left hand as the right hand.
I personally prefer there to be no fingering as it gives me a challenge, and a different feel to the music depending on how i wish to play it.
