| Inspired by the German composer and organist Dietrich Buxtehude, Johann Sebastian Bach was at his best when he composed the Passacaglia in C Minor. Using a ground bass of eight measures, he developed "twenty-one variations, interwined so ingeniously that one can never cease to be amazed," according to the Romantic pianist and composer Robert Schumann. This piece is truly remarkable and should be owned by all. | Add your own review!
