| This piece is one of my all time favorites. The two Haydn concerti, there's a D maj, are the only cello concertos that are actually happy, whew finally, no minor keys! As can be expected of a master like haydn, this piece is perfectly suited to the cello. However this is one of those tricky things you'll definetly need to take to a teacher. The first mov. is great fun to improvise with and jazz up. The 2nd is a happy adagio, and the 3rd is VERY fast. You'll NEED those SCALES. | Add your own review!
