Chico State High School Honors Choir
I wush that all of you could have been at the Chico State High School Honors Choir Festival... It was very well put together, and everyone from my school that attended had so much fun. All choirs should work on tuining to overtones, it is really awesome, and choir directors shouldn't be too set in their traditionally stiff ways (which is funny coming from someone that doesn't like to move in choir). Talk to your choral directors about choir festivals, you'll be able to meet other musicians, who really like music, seriously guys choral festivals are a lot of fun, if you get the chance to go to one you really should go...

Honour Choir
Ave,
how many singers are there usually in one of these honor choirs? I sent a tape, and I'll know if I got in or not in 3 weeks. Are these SATB, SAB, SSA choirs? Do they always sing a cappella?

In the Honor Choir thing I attended there were 73 people in the choir. It depends on what they want if it's going to be a capella, or what voices they use, for instance the one I went to was SATB and did some with/without accompaniment. It really is an awesome experience.

Yep, and I found out I wasn't accepted because of typical bureocratic european trouble. I hope I'll have better luck next year, especially because I practiced the piece and vocalises a lot. (And it was a difficult part) Click here to see the pdf (I tried out for the soprano part)
