Smile Name that Composer

Okay, stole this idea from Francesca/TVL from another thread. I think it's a good idea.

I'll give you a biography and you name that composer!

We'll start with a super easy one:

I was born in 1732 in Rohrau. I was a leading composer of the Classical period. I'm sometimes known as the "Father of the Symphony". I was also known by my nickname, "Papa". Who am I?

She seems amused thus far. Can you guess her contemporary composer that she posted above? I can't figure it out.
