Wow this was a happenin' thread... umm... I have if you count "Marching" in parades... nothing actually on the field, and lets see the parades were more like walking, the worst was when we had to "March" in the pouring rain, oh it sucked, at least I had the really ugly plastic cowboy hat, to keep my head dry... oh and what else sucked was the hat would get to heavy, from catching the rain so I'd have to keep dumping it, and of course it went forward... eh, it was the school's trumpet...
Quick Question:
Do like sports? (Cheerleading, MB, Ice Skating, and that kind of stuff does not count... Sports are: Baseball, Basketball, Football, Hockey, Soccer and that stuff (racing included))

Um...I enjoy playing basketball with friends. And tennis and badminton are really fun. But other than that, I'm really not a sports person.

basketball is cool, 'though I'm no good at it, but I still try to feed the best players, on Mondays in Kuk Sool (Martial Arts), we're outside on Mondays... But sometimes we play soccer or football, oh and socko (hecka cool game, okay so its just dodgeball w/ "goalies" to throw the ball from behind the other team). My best sport of those is probably soccer, but I still love baseball now that is a great sport... Gotta go post somewhere else, so talk to you there...

OMG, I forgot about dodgeball!!! I LOVE that game!! I'm so good at it!!
Anyways...band camp update:
OMG, band camp started out so HORRIBLE yesterday!! Okay, we were reviewing marching basics in our own sections yesterday as always. But when my section leader called us to attention, a yellow jacket stung the crap outta me and I screamed and jumped at attention (which you're not supposed to move) so I went to Mr. W and got som ice to numb the pain (cuz like an idiot I pulled the stinger out) and had to sit out during the mini sectionals. Well, after about 5 minutes, I started to get all dizzy and my right arm went numb, so I couldn't march during sectionals. And we were having a drill down!!! But after the feeling finally came back and the pain finally left me, I had a great day (which I don't have time right now to explain cuz I g2g)

Marching Band is the best ever, especially drum corps, and yea as you can tell by my id, im a marimbist, haha, and totally in love with it
its like, weird, i went from being a violinist, to a string bassist, to bass drum (marching), and then to pit and learning the marimba, its just so different, i absolutely am in love with it
trying out for a drum corps soon...esperanza or impulse! i wish i could do SCV *tear* but hey, thats all the way up in SF and im in san diego, so i mean, i have to make do with what i can right?
MARIMBA FOREVER they seriously have to put marching band music up on virtual sheet music

I'm Back with updates!!!!
Hey ya'll!!
I have updates on our band...at Upper State, we had our peak performance and got 2nd place, moving into Finals and performing in the 4th to last slot, losing to Blue Ridge only by .4 points. Well, on Saturday, we travelled to State Finals and recieved 2nd place, following Greer by I think 1.3 points (correct me if i'm wrong, please). The season is over now, and I'm extremely disappointed in our rating. We should have gotten first, and everyone knows it. Even people from Greer's band informed us we should have gotten 1st. But at least it's a red ribbon instead of white again. We had a very successful season this year, and I'm dreading moving up to 4A next year...it's doubtful we'll even make State Finals, what with how many awesome bands are in 4A. But there's the final update of this year's marching season...until the Christmas Parade, Spring Trip, and whenever we recieve info about what our show will be next year. I'll talk to ya'll later!!

That's awesome! I wish you the best of luck...oh, and on the flip folder...you can turn it so you can see it. Just twist the knob on the front of it, in front of the metal piece that holds the page in place. (You have a Flutist's Friend, right?)
