Hi TVL.

How many hours a day are you playing? Did you start to play more than before recently? When?

Usually that's normal when you begin to study for hours, but after some day the pain goes away...

Let us know.

best,

Hallo everyone

Yes, pain is bad... It's your body's way of saying "HEY, STOP DOING THIS, YOU SILLY!!!" So if you feel pain somewhere you're probably doing something wrong. If you're absolutely sure you're not playing in a wrong position all of a sudden, maybe you should look in the way you sleep; maybe you slept on your left side in a bad position, in that case you're bound to have a bit of trouble. If it's none of that, well, you're still growing, we all get pains for nothing now and then, and it's most likely that it'll go away in a few days or weeks. It happens to me too. I hope this helps. And if you are playing more than before, do it gradually.

Have a nice day!!

I forgot to say that you might as well put some ice on your wrist after you've been playing if it hurts, I have to do that too, and try refraining other activities such as riding your bike, if you do, which does your wrist no good.

I saw that were there was these Therapeutic Support Gloves in the music stand catalogue. They are like for anyone that works there hands, like playing a violin for example, I heard some people tell me that it really works, so you might want to look into as to protect yourself from things like carpol tunnel.
