Default Only classical?

I love classical music - don't get me wrong, but what about other styles?

I just notice that the forum has a classical discussion section but nothing for other types.

For example, I love Swing - it plays so well on trumpet. I can't say I've found much here so far. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong place? Or is VSM dedicated to classical music? Is that because of copyright legislation etc?

Hello Trumpeter and thank you for your post.

Well, you got the point: Virtual Sheet Music is dedicated to the publication of classical sheet music only (save some traditional tune), that's our field of expertise. The only reason of a such choice is to be "specialized" in classical music in order to give to our users the best digital classical sheet music on the web.

Thank you for your inquiry. Please, let me know if you have any further questions.

All the best,

Hello and welcome on our forums.

Well, Virtual Sheet Music is aimed to offer classical sheet music only. Fiddle players can anyway enjoy our violin sheet music repertoire.

Thank you for your interest.

Sincerely,

For settings of traditional tunes, you can find a lot at www.thesession.org They have screenshots of the tune as well as having it written out in ABC format (and there are a lot of shareware/freeware ABC readers out there, I use Melody Assistant). There are also a ton in ABC format here as well: http://www.ibiblio.org/fiddlers/index.html
