Composing is easy.
Composing something that actually sounds all right... well that's another story.
It would be kinda interesting to see more expansion...
Like,
Medieval: Perotin/Vitry,
Ren.: Byrd/Tallis
Baroque: Corelli/Handel/Bach/Vivaldi
Transition: CPE Bach/JC Bach/Scarlatti
Class.: Hadyn/Mozart/Boccherini
Transition: Beethoven/Schubert
Rom.: Schumann/Brahms/Wagner/Liszt/Dvorak/Grieg
Transition: (I know you don't want to, but) Schoenburg & Co./Debussy/Ravel/Joplin/Rimsky-Korsakov
Modern: Ives/Gershwin/Stravinsky/Shostakovich/Nakada (you've probably never even heard of Yoshinao Nakada, but i assure you, he is a very good modern composer. And a very
modern one too! He died only in 2000)
There you have it!
