Default help needed identifying piece...

OK,

A long shot but still ...

Heard a piece today - it's for a string quartet and has an 8 note ground bass pattern. The higher string instruments (violin) come in doing a simple melody over the top. It is commonly played at weddings at entrance / exit. Anybody have any ideas what this one could be?

First guess would be Pachebel's Canon & Gigue

Play the MIDI for the canon...is that it?

Try "Air" from Bach's Orchestral Suite No. 3 I'm pretty sure it's it.
