Names
Hallo folks!!
I know it's not very musical, but I thought it would be interesting for some of you to post a reply about those names you were talking about.
Ferdinand is Ferran in Catalan and Fernando in Spanish, and actually has Germanic origins. In my country the visigoths were the first to use it after they threw the Romans out, and we've had a few Ferran and Fernando kings in the past.
Fabrizio is Fabrici in Catalan, Fabricio in Spanish and Fabrice in French, although it's not used very much anymore. It's not very popular in these countries, but it's used more in France than in Spain. I don't know about other languages, I'd have to have a look round.
