I was going to send it to Chip and tell her not to show it to anybody, but if you're interested I can send it to you too. That is, if I ever finish it. Which is what I was coming to.
Chip, and Mr. Y, sir, I'm afraid that I probably won't be able to finish the given assignment in time. I have plenty of exams and things to do and so do my students. And, besides, a new job, so no, that wasn't an error of calculation from my part. The draft will go back to its corner until I have some time…

It is absolutely littered with sheetmusic and all other forms of papers (littered, but the stuff is in order. That is where the chaos theory comes in) and the place has more corners than would be normal in a traditional house.

There's something magical about songwriting. No matter how many songs I write or how much I know about songwriting, I am still amazed and a little awestruck that it happens at all. How does a song get started? How do you know where to go next? How do you know if your song is any good? Well, I'll answer the first two questions, The third question - How do you know if my song is good? - is answered like this: A song that expresses what you feel is a good song, even if no one else thinks so. A song that expresses your thoughts and feelings in a way that reaches other people, helps them feel something deeper or understand something better - that's a really good song!
