Composing is easy.
Composing something that actually sounds all right... well that's another story.
It would be kinda interesting to see more expansion...
Transition: CPE Bach/JC Bach/Scarlatti
Transition: (I know you don't want to, but) Schoenburg & Co./Debussy/Ravel/Joplin/Rimsky-Korsakov
Modern: Ives/Gershwin/Stravinsky/Shostakovich/Nakada (you've probably never even heard of Yoshinao Nakada, but i assure you, he is a very good modern composer. And a very modern
one too! He died only in 2000)
There you have it!
If someone has something to sing, let them sing it.
If someone has something to play, let them play it.
If someone has something to hum, let them hum it.
But if someone does not do any musical thing, act sad until they do.
