What piece is this?
Hi, I'm hoping someone can help me. My computer has a Midi file called "SPRNG_01.mid". I found it in the I386 folder of my Windows XP C: Drive. I downloaded this file to my phone to use as my alarm tone, and now I can't get it out of my head, and I want to find the sheet music to play it on piano. Only thing is, I don't know what the piece is! It sounds so familiar, and a resident expert of virtual sheet music suggested it may be JS Bach, which sounds about right to me, but no definite answer yet.
I hope someone can find this file on their C: drive, and may be able to say for sure what piece it is!

Solved!
The mystery has been solved! It is in fact the Prelude & Fugue No. 17 in A flat Major, from the Well-Tempered Clavier Book 1.
Thanks to all who had a look, Bronwyn.

Great news! Very glad to know you found it! We have yet to publish it, but hopefully we'll do it as soon as possible.
Thank you again for your kindness and interest.
Sincerely,
