Alternate Parts for Clarinet Choir/ WW5
Hi,
You don't seem to have very much for woodwind
quintet or sextet, and I don't see anything for
clarinets. I would love to see the woodwind
quintet parts all have alternate parts for the
clarinet choir:
Eb sopranino for flute, Bb soprano for the oboe,
Eb alto for the Horn's F part, and BBb treble
clef for bass clarinet in lieu of bassoon. Let
me know if that's possible, especially the BBb
for bassoon, at least. Ideally, a Bb part for
the horn guarantees playability in lack of an
alto clarinet also.
Thanks for considering it,
Doug Vogl , Fresno, CA 2/2/06

Glad I read though first
I was going to put this suggestion on as well. I would love to have more clarinet choir arraingements of the pieces that are alread on the site.
Also if it is possible a transposition of the solo/duet cello for bass clarinet would be heaven.
Thanks
Ledonna

Hello Ledonna and welcome on the forums.
Of course, we'll consider to transcribe cello pieces for bass clarinet, thank you for your thought.
Have great musical days.
Sincerely,

As follow up to your suggestions, we are beginning to work to extend alternate parts for our wind quintet repertoire, but we would like to know your priority list. Do you have any preferred title you would like to start from? Any your preference is very welcome.
All the best,

What about the Mozart "Adagio in B flat for Two Clarinets and Three Basset Horns" with Bb clarinet and Bass clar. in Bb? (It would be wonderful to have the bass clar. part in both treble and bass clefs.)
And I would love to have a copy of Mozart's "12 Duos for Basset Horns" but for two bass clarinets.
Are there any Mozart trios that could work for three clarinets and or three bass clar?
Thanks for asking.
Ledonna

Sounds good. Is there any piece we have already in catalog you would like to have transcribed first? To transcribe compositions already in catalog is much easier for us (just to start).
Thank you.
Best,

Yes... smile.
There are some string quartets that I would love to see as either clarinet choir pieces, quartets or trios:
Death and the Maiden
Eine Kleine Nachtmusick
Emperor Waltz
Il Barbiere di Siviglia:Overture
Canon in D
There is an arr. of Flight of the Bumble-Bee for wind trio that would be nice to have for either
2 Bb clar and a bass clar.
or 2 bass clar. and a Bb clar.
or 3 bass clar.
Also I would LOVE a copy of Six Suite fro Cello by JS Bach transposed for B. Clarinet in both bass and treble clef.
Thanks again for asking,
Ledonna

Dear Ledonna, thank you for your suggestions! Of course, we will begin to work on one of those as soon as possible ( I will push for the Bach's Suites for bass clarinet )
Thank you again.
Best,

Why not start with all the string quintets?
There, that just about says it all. In fact I think you have now already got one or two done! I encourage you to arrange all of your string quintets for woodwind quintet, and thence to clarinet choir.
