Default strauss- wiener blut for string quintet

Hello! I downloaded strauss wiener blut to play on a party where people have to dance. It says that it is for string quintet or string quartet. However, when payed with string quartet the cello has melody parts quite often, and a real beat is missing on the one. The cello player could play the double bass part but that is a bit boring and some phrases are missing.
Maybe it is an idea to make a compromise between the cello and double bass part to perform with a string quartet?

Of course, I understand and you are right. We will consider to prepare a "real" version for string quartet
