Default Bach - Piano Concerto D minor

I saw a DVD of Glen Gould playing (Bach - Piano concerto in D minor) I have been trying to find the sheet music of it with just the piano. Whenever it states "Concerto" in titles, is there a specific piece of the composers music? Hope my question makes sense. Thanks for any help

Hello JaeDea and thnak you for your post.

Well, I think it is the Concerto No.1 in D, BWV972 for harpsichord and orchestra despite I never watched that DVD. Does that could be possible?

Thank you again.

Sincerely,

Default Hi JaeDea,

The Bach´s Piano Concerto in d-moll (D minor), as played by Gould with Toronto Symphony Orchestra on DVD or LD, is the reference for the Cembalo Concerto BWV 1052 in d-moll (as appears on "Bach Werke Verzeichnis" or The General Catalog for Bach Works).

The other Concerto (BWV 972) mentioned by Fabrizio is a Solo Transcription of an Orchestral Concerto by Vivaldi presented in a collection of 16 Concertos (BWV 972 - BWV 987).
I don´t know any recording of this piece with Gould.

Best regards,

Dear Marco,
thank you very much for your clarification. We'll do our best to publish the Cembalo Concerto BWV 1052 in d-moll in the next future.

Thank you again, your help has been really appreciated.

All the best,
