Smile Music for Multiple Cellos

I love what virtualsheetmusic is providing, it is a fantastic service, but I wonder if it would be possible to produce arrangements for multiple cellos? I have just set up a 12 cello ensemble in Cardiff, UK and although we have music for 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8 and 12 cellos there is not alot around.
Any chance?
Lots of cellos sound beautiful together by the way, something to do with the broad range from low on the C string to high on the A. Arrangements of anything you have for string quartet for example would be great.
We would acknowledge you in the programme when we perform if you could help.
Thanks in anticipation,
Clare

Hello Clare and thank you for your kind post.

Well, of course to produce music for 12 cellos is a big challenge! But we can consider to publish something for a such ensemble. Do you have any preferred title you'd like to have transcribed first? Any your idea is very welcome.

Thank you again for your kindness and interest.

Sincerely,

Smile Music for Multiple Cellos

Thank you so much that's brilliant!
I don't really have a specific request (I'd be happy with anything!) however any of the shorter pieces (Wedding or Christmas collections?) that you've arranged for string quartet might easily translate into a cello quartet.
I did have vague ideas about an arrangement of Barber - Adagio for Strings for 4 or 5 parts and something which would be really challenging.......Bach - Toccata and Fugue BMV 565 that you already have available for organ solo!!! I don't know how many parts could be created for that.
I'll leave it with you, I really am grateful for anything that you can offer,
Clare

Thank you Clare for your reply.

I like your idea to transcribe string quartet pieces for four cellos, and I'll push a transcription of the Christmas Carols as soon as possible.

About Toccata and Fugue, that could be very interesting. About Barber, unfortunately at the moment his compositions are still copyrighted, but we'll publish his works as soon we'll be able to do so.

We'll think, generally, to more music for "multiple" cellos.

Thank you again for your kindness and interest.

Sincerely,

It would be very interesting hearing 12 cellos play Toccata and Fugue! The hard part is arranging it...good luck with that one!!!
