Peer review of playing
I think it would interesting to have the ability to upload mp3 files (I would assume WAVs would take up too much bandwidth) and have other members review them and provide critques. As a relatively new violinist, I figured that would be an interesting way to get feedback and also get a chance to hear other people's intrepretation of a piece.
I guess this could in theory already be accommodated in the forums? But, would be nice to have a dedicated area for it. Not sure if anyone else has expressed interest in that.
Thanks.

This is an interesting idea we already thought about. We could allow to upload mp3 files in the compositions dedicated pages of our catalog. We'll think about more.
Thank you for your idea.
Sincerely,

You best have fire proof clothing on.
I don't know how valuable it would be to post mp3 of yourself playing or your group. I think it would be a feeding frenzy at the shark tank.
There is big difference between being able to do a constructive review with suggestions for improvement than just saying you stink and might as well burn your instrument and save the world.
Also, you would have no idea as to the qualification of the reviewer.
A good review is almost like a lesson where you get feedback about a passage. Then being instructed as to imporvements.
It is also not much use to have friends or relatives review you as they are bias.
You can review yourself by simply tapping yourself and playing it back. You will know how you are doing. You will here every error no matter how small.
Having a review that is real bad can be an ego killer even to the point you might stop playing.
I would think more than twice before I posted something to web for review.
