Flute learning music
Hey, anybody who plays flute, how long have you been playing? How did you learn, self taught or lessons? If self taught, what book or whatever did you learn with? I have a flute but I can't play it very well, like I've practiced maybe a dozen times. I really want to learn it but I can't get it! I have "Play Flute Today", it's a self teaching book with CD, by Hal Leonard. Is that one any good?

Hey! I suggest stuff like Tunes for flute technique, Rubank Method, Mark Thomas, Essential Elements, and Standard of Excellence. If you need any like beginning solos or anything, I'll scan a couple and send them to you too.
I've been playing for 4 years, and I learned in band...I've had a private instructor for 3 of the 4 years, and now I'm in HBOA, so yeah...I could help out a lot if you need any help at all.
Email me at Piccologurl156@hotmail.com if you need advice. I'll only be able to get to my email on the weekends mainly, though. So be patient!!
