Well, violin has been both the most frustrating and rewarding instrument for me to learn. It's definitely been a challenge, especially starting so late. The really frustrating part is that I can hear the way the music should sound in my head, but it's hard to get that sound to come out correctly on the violin.

So, making lots of mistakes is no fun, but I figure another year from now I'll be a lot better. I actually decided that I should record myself playing periodically, so I can listen months or years later and see how much I've changed.

Hey you should've heard me tonight at church!! Actually, i'm glad you didn't. I played piano for my sis to sing (Away in a Manger) and every time we practiced it we did ok but at church I totally messed up and my sis got the verses mixed up. She didn really good though, she kept singing when i screwed up on the piano and lost it. I'm really proud of her! I just wish I didn't mess up so much, I always get really nervous right before I play. I wish I could stop that!

I say it looks like those things they play in the Swiss Alps...you know, like on TV and stuff? I'm not sure what they're called...but Didgery Doos don't have bells like that. Or at least, the ones I've seen don't. *shrugs*
