Default Does this clarinet suit for a new player?
Hi, everyone. I'm a new guy of clarient. Recently I wanna learn it, but I found the clarient has different materials. I want to know what's the differences between the silver plated clarient and the nickel plated one ? Which one is better?

When I first started playing clarinet, I switched several times. They were all silver plated. My first was a Signet, then I think I had an Omega. If you need any suggestions, I recommend contacting a local school and seeing what their band members use.

Silver plated ones tend to provide easier maintenance but I don't think it would make any difference for the player, unless of course, the clarinet is very old.
