Uhm, Rome? The first thing I think about is the auditoriums the Colosseum and Pasta alla Matriciana.
...Is this how you play?

Sure.... just sort of think of the first word that comes to mind when you see the previous word. The fun is in seeing where the chain of associated words leads.

From 'Colosseum', I came up with 'Marcelo Álvarez'

(since they did the Duetto concert there)... so...

Marcelo Álvarez

From Alvarez I think of Cordoba, Argentina (he's from Cordoba) and of the beautiful snowy mountains (maybe doesn't have much to do)
