Here's the next one:

I was born around 1300 AD was renowned as a French composer and poet. I was the leading representative of the musical movement "Ars Nova" I was also very influential in the development of the motet and chanson and wrote the first Mass which can be atributed to one composer. After I died in 1377 other composers of the time wrote songs lamenting my death. Who am I?

D'oh! I know this one but the name is escaping me...arrrrgh....... Okay, I'm not going to cheat and research it (yet )

Oh, oops...I almost forgot...here, this one only requires one hint:

I am an american composer, and I composed a march with the most famous piccolo solo in america. I also have a picture up that I signed in Carnegie Hall.
