Bach suites
which edition do you think has the best fingerings and bowings? I have the Kurtz, which SUCKS[COLOR=YellowGreen], and the Vandersall, which I like 'cause it's totally blank...but I could really use some bowings for the 6th suite especially! ^^

6th suite? that's the hardest of the lot isn't it? I think it was written for an instrument with 5 strings, which poses obvious problems....
I don't know about all the markings in different editions, but the music is soooo fantasticly good that you can play it with almost any fingerings/bowings and it will still sound fantastic

I expect there are some, or you could probably get one made if you had enough money.

Im no expert on baroque instruments, but i think a cello piccolo is just a small cello, im not sure what a viola d'Gamba was but i know it was a seperate instrument, so if the sixth suite had've been for viola d'Gamba it wouldn't be called a suite for cello, if you know what i mean.
