When i first started to play clarinet, i borrowed one from school. Then i saved up for my first clarinet for over a year. It cost me £700. This was an E13 Buffet Crampon. And till this day, some many years later, I am still using the same one. It could do with a good service to tell the truth but I have never had any problems with it at all. So I would definately look about for the best deal. I got my clarinet through the school else it would have cost me over £1000, but it was definately worth the wait. If your serious enough - save up and you probably wont have to buy another one in your life - unless you go proffesional...

Yes, I played it. it plays fine. But when I hear that the reed gets too much saliva on it. I take the reed out to rub the saliva off and then after I put it back on the mouthpiece, it either doesn't play or squeak.

The best value that I've found is Life.
That's where I got mine.
The thing about buying a musical instrument is that you need to try it first.
