Default Stupid question

I really shouldn't have to ask this question, but I'm going to anyway. Why on earth are there three pedals on a piano?!?! What do you use the middle and left ones for?????

far left is a 'soft' pedal to make a quieter sound. Middle is usually a type of sustain that sustains only the notes where the damper is raised when you pressed the pedal.

That's exactly what it is! Although he's probably recording himself again this morning. Who knows how long I'll have to wait for him to show up! :*(

Sure you can suggest it. But I don't have his # so it won't do any good!
