Suggestions??
Can anyone please give me the name of one or two pretty easy pieces that would be appropriate for church? I can't find anything that isn't way too long or that just doesn't sound right for church. I NEED HELP!!! My parents want me to play more "specials" but I can't find anything. I think I'm gonna cry now. :*( I can play "Be Still My Love" but it's too long and getting to be very annoying too.

What a coincidence!!! I just played that last Sunday! I totally messed it up, but I played it for the offertory. For some reason I froze when I got up there which is really weird cause I'm the back-up pianist at my church so I play very often. I just need some other pieces that aren't too hard but not too easy either.

Hi stranger!
I've subbed for the pianist at our church repeatedly, and I love using "Sacred Silhouettes" by Dennis Alexander. They're very simple arrangements, but with surprisingly rich harmonies. The book costs something like $5.95, but it's well worth it... I use it ALL the time!

Well, I would suggest the Wedding Collection for piano solo, it includes very nice pieces you may use for any church ceremony (except, of course, the two Wedding Marches).
Enjoy!
Sincerely,

Rynna?! You've been here for a while, haven't you? I didn't even realize you were....you. *blush* Oops.
I'll have to see if we have that book here, hopefully we do cuz I desperately need some good music!! Thanks for the suggestion. Do you improvise with it at all?
