Must resist urge to type......we'.......there!
She wasn't really speaking in relationship to the Easter stuff but more in terms of future growth.
We have musicians in our congregation that just need the right motivation to get involved in the orchestra.

Well........
It could happen....but not because of her. The good thing is that she came out and said that's what she wants.
Though I don't think she has the background or resources to pull it off.
It may give me and some others license to start the ball rolling........

The burning question.....how to attract serious, non-rock musicians? In the last 20 years or so we have demonstrated how to repel them.

I plan to buy one in the next future because I think it really worth (above all, don't forget, they are VERY resistant!)

Best,
Did you try the Codabow?

It's sad, we went to this one church that had a fair size sym. orch.

We come again in a year and no orchestra........We asked where it went...

They replied that alot of people started getting into business and therefore could not practice/play anymore. Sad when people choose the temporary things over eternal blessings......

It's more like they lost interest than anything else.

What does it take to keep their interest?
Efficient, effective rehearsals.
Meaningful and pertinant reportoire/arrangments.
What else?
These things require effort and some money.
Many people in the church view music as a non-spiritual activity. Possibly because music is considered entertainment.
