Music Encyclopaedia Project

Hmm an interesting idea. At the moment we already have our own blogs system: http://www.music-web.org/weblogs.php , many of them quite humorous and interesting. I'm not sure if you'd be interested as Music-Web is still quite fresh (open for about 4 weeks now), therefore its blogs are quite fresh too.

The idea of publishing articles from the Music Encylopedia is a great one. Its a way that the knowledge and collaborating efforts can be spread. Obviously you will only want high quality articles to be published, so I can put together a team of people who every month or so will come up with a list of the music encylopedia's best articles. What do you think?

Music; My true, pure love!

Music Web is promoting a remarkably ambitious project: an online music encyclopaedia. This project is still in its infancy for we have started it very recently. We need help in developing this community; this entails a necessity of people willing to write articles, and publishing them in wiki format.


The articles can discuss any music correlated topic. There will be two kinds of articles: encyclopaedia, and opinionated articles. The former type is meant to inform and instruct, while the latter is meant to amuse, rouse discussions and interest.

We are forming an Article Management Team of 6 volunteers. Currently, MaestroX and I (under homonym of Sheba Queen) are the only ones being involved. People taking part of this Team will be the main organisers of the Music Encyclopaedia. We will be editing and writing articles, and be producing a Top Articles List monthly, with the best articles. This list will then be handed to our article manager, featuring them on another music website. This will give Music-Web the possibility to gain a larger audience in general.

As the project develops, our top articles will then be translated. We currently have a decent amount of languages spoken by contributors who are willing to participate in the program.

Obviously the project is still far from being completed, thus your contribution is precious. So please register on music-web, and we will welcome any of your ideas and comments. This is your chance to enter the premier online Music Encyclopaedia wiki.
