Default Hindemith

Hi, does anyone know where to get some good Hindemith sheet music. I'm a violist and looking for a Sonata from him.

You can try to find it on Sheet Music Plus, we can't yet publish Hindemith's music on Virtual Sheet Music due to copyright restrictions.

If you have any further question, please don't hesitate to contact me again.

Thank you again.

Sincerely,

Apparently, Hindemith appears to be forgotten in VSM, as a violist you sure can be worried. Won't restrain me from renew my subscription but VSM could wisely add some Hindemith pieces in the catalog.

Hindemith is among the most significant German composers of his time. His early works are in a late romantic idiom, and he later produced expressionist works, rather in the style of early Arnold Schoenberg, before developing a leaner, contrapuntally complex style in the 1920s. It has been described as neoclassical but is very different from the works by Igor Stravinsky labeled with that term, owing more to the contrapuntal language of Bach than the Classical clarity of Mozart.
