Very strange...

I'm not sure exactly where this thread should have gone... didn't seem like it would have fit in either the composers or instrument sections. Either way, I have a question that has been puzzling me.

In this one song (Wedding day at Troldhaugen, by Grieg), there's one very strange thing... look at where the arrow is pointing in the following picture:



Exactly WHAT does that mean?

Well, that means you have to play the lower note first, then, as quickly as possible, play the higher note with the same hand (left). By using the Pedal you can make it sound like you played the two notes "almost" at the same time...

Hello again. I have another problem :P



For that chord right there, do you just play a single B? If not, then, what is that implying to play? Because, obviously you cant do a chord with two of the same note :P

Yes, of course that's just one note to be played.

One last question (hopefully )

In regards to the first question, In three places in the song, it does that same note, just with a glissando marking in front of it; but that one spot has a tie in front of it. Now, what you described to do for what I showed you (the tie) is what I thought you did for the one with the glissando. Is there a difference?
