Rating: 4 Traditional Canon in duet form by on March 16, 2010 @7:50 pm PST
I needed this music to play at a wedding by two high school level musicians. An aged amateur and a high school student. It is perfect for this. It keeps the traditional, simple, canon form with the emphasis on the melodic line by the violin. However, it adds interest by giving the cello a good portion of melody also as a good duet should do. We were challenged to work on accuracey with regard to timing. Overall it is a beautiful piece and well arranged to allow only two intruments to make it live and breath.

This is an extremely beautiful piece of music you should try hearing or playing. As for the level, it depends on what part you are playing.

I needed this piece for a wedding (requested by the bride) and the piano arrangement worked well as a flute/bassoon duet. I REALLY appreciated being able to download and print at point of sale. Some sites require software downloads that I cannot put on my computer (Sibelius Scorch, for example). So I was really pleased with your site.
Rating: 2 This composition is very famous, but pretty banal to me . on August 24, 2008 @12:53 am PST
I think melody and harmony are pretty banal and personally I consider this tune neither so indicated for a marriage. It doesn't emotion me at all.
I wonder why this composition is still played so much... The history is full of great music!
