This is an emotive piece which fully utilises the range (both in pitch and dynamics/articulation) that the piano has to offer. It juxtaposes a dark low section filled with heavy chords and dotted rhythms with a smooth legato section, which is not unlike his famous nocturne pieces. The piece is not particularly technically demanding, but does require a wide reach in both hands (major 10th in left and minor 10th in the right). It also requires you to be able to sustain a trill for a minim in your left hand whilst playing chords with your right. Large hands are also ideal for the nocturne-like B section with open arpeggios for the left hand. The sheet music is clear and accurate, and the download process is simple and efficient. I would recommend this piece for any intermediate pianist with the ability to make these reaches and if you canat then you can always omit a note or two, donat let it stop you playing it!
Rating: 5 great sheet music !! on July 1, 2009 @7:23 am PST
This is a beautiful haunting melody, part of a whole opus. The solo was perfectly adapted from the score ( I have seen other versions of this particular piano solo that canot hold a candle to this one) The sheet music itself was very clear and I am very happy with it.

After buying a Steinway B, mostly for my wife, who is a music teacher, I got interested in playing my old repertoir, which I had neglected for the 30 years I was on a classic ragtime kick. I couldn't find my old music for this piece, and was delighted to find this. Nice and clear and clean printout too.
