Excellent gig materialby anonymouson January 25th, 2014
I came across this when trying to source tasteful but effortless background music for a gig. It was perfect. Pleasing arrangements in easy keys and already transposed. Tick! Thank you Virtual Sheet Music for saving us a lot of effort.

Very simple and straight forward to use
Paginationby anonymouson February 24th, 2008
Given that the pieces are distributed as pdf files (and the paper therefore costs the publisher nothing) it is a pity that each tune is not started at the top of a page. This would reduce page turns. Numbers 2, 3 and 4 all have unnecessary page turns.
What about the cover art?by Chris Hobbson February 13th, 2008
I just wanted to add a comment to my previous review where I forgot to mention the picture on the cover. Oh dear!
Easy and Satisfyingby Chris Hobbson February 11th, 2008
As its title suggests, these are *easy* duets. They are, however, pleasant and have enough depth and subtlety for the performers to have to work on the interpretation and balance. The pieces are generally not "violin solos with clarinet accompaniment" as many such duets turn out to be. The keys are also chosen to be suitable for beginners: with a violin in C and clarinet in Bb someone obviously has to give but this is limited to the clarinet playing in A and the violin in Bb.
Cuteby Alexon December 9th, 2007
This music is very cute and is suited to these instruments well. The keys are great. This piece is worth working at and is great fun to play!:P

Easy not simpleby anonymouson April 29th, 2007
Easy does not mean simple, as a player for 25 years and a 'fiddler' for 2 years, the keys are great for violin, the phrasing and bowing marks make sense and the formatting makes reading a pleasure. The music is nonetheless challenging and entertaining to play and to listen to. If you are looking for pieces that are worth the effort to master without having to be a master then these are wonderful. I hope to find more pieces of this calibre.
