Pieces like this really make me appreciate Rachmaninoff's skill. All these preludes are virtuosic, and great fun! Unlike some pieces of such a high standard, they are interesting and have varying melodies and time signatures, and are not just scales at 'presto'. "Prelude No.5 - Alla marcia" is the most well known of all these, and is delightful to get your teeth into. Not for the faint-hearted.
