Normally I would have played and recorded this for New Year's Eve as is the tradition of the Vienna Philharmonic, and when I say this, I would have played ALL the parts and merged and sychronized them on my recording. However, due to cardio vascular issues that suspended dental restoration, I was unable to do so, thus it was only a study for me. It is my hope to resume playing again by mid summer of 2010 that would allow me to restore my abilities in time to have it available for New Year's 2011. Too, I may have substituted a euphonium for the trombone part and added a horn part that I would have played on F mellophone. I do enjoy Strauss, both Father and Son.
While I minored in instrumental music education, it was not a career choice and now at age 73 only for personal and family pleasure.[this review is about Radetzky March (f.score), included in this item]
