Syrinx is Reborn!by John(MEMBER)on September 5th, 2013
It was so great to get this copy of a flute solo I had lost many years ago.
The only quibbling comment I have is that I recalled that my old music was one half tone higher than this one.
I recall hearing William Kincaid play the piece in Washington, D.C. and then coming home to Baltimore on the same train as the one he took.
Much nostalgia--- thanks for the memories.

Page Break Doesn't Flowby anonymouson October 20th, 2009
The page break of this version is completely different from the original version, and doesn't flow as well. The mission of the song gets lost with that page break.
a winner for alto fluteby Leeann Rockon August 19th, 2009
this looks a little busy on the page but the accompanying MP3 made it clear that this was completely playable as it is a slow meditative piece. as a completely solo piece, it is great for showcasing alto flute.

Live and let dieby anonymouson January 3rd, 2007
This is the best flute solo ever written.
The flute player who playes it best has not been born yet.
The best thing is to play it for oneself.
I love this song!!!!!by Bear(MEMBER)on September 2nd, 2006
This is a wonderfully wierd song! It takes a while to understand it, but when you do, it makes all the difference in the world. Try it. I'm sure that you will like it!
Good songby raquelon August 1st, 2006
This song is easy as long as you are willing to work at it. it drags on if you use the written counts, but it really becomes interesting once you are able to treat it as a "free interpretation" piece. it really sounds like the myth it is based on.
