Video TranscriptionOne day at Juilliard, I was called into an administrators office and told that I had been given the "Duke Ellington Award," which was a cash award. I was told that a condition was that I had to attend the Ellington Band concert to receive the award. I was told that the last person took the money and left. So I responded, Are you crazy? Of course, I want be there. You see I was and am still a jazz lover. So I went to the concert, it was a big band like back in the day, and it was wonderful. At intermission, I was brought onstage, introduced and given the award. After this I was free to go but of course I stayed backstage, sat in the corridor and listened as the concert continued. It was so beautiful! Automatic video-to-text transcription by DaDaScribe.com |
