Hmm, what exactly am I doing? Well, I'm moving from a flat hair to less hair. Huh, did you notice though? I didn't do it this way. I did it this way. What am I doing? Well, I'm just swiveling the pole on my thumb. See that? And what that does is I can go to less hair, more hair, without changing the relationship of my hand to my wrist to my arm. These days, I'm on a nice level playing.

Hello I have been playing for over a year now, started off self taught, I now have a teacher but I'm struggling with trying to play very quietly when I need to, I'm using the end of my bow, playing clise to the fingerboard and using less hair but it still sounds loud, do you have any tips please?

Hi! Perhaps a silly question but are you squeezing?
Kate on November 30, 2022 @3:44 pm PST
I'm sorry what do you mean aqueexing? Do you mean my hand with the bow?

Hi! Yes with the bow. Are you squeezing with your fingers? Doing so can stop the string from vibrating and cause you to apply more 'pressure' to make sound...
