Reviews about Trio No.7:

Rating: 5 Tenor clef option by  * VSM MEMBER * on February 15, 2016 @6:02 am PST
I wasn't able to transpose a part up an octave and put into tenor clef. The part is sometimes too high- 5-6 leger lines above the staff in bass clef. In treble clef there is the same problem- too many ledger lines below the staff. By choosing the alto saxophone option I can read it as if it is in tenor clef, but the key and accidentals as well as the clef signs need to be crossed out and adjusted.

This trio is great fun for all players as each gets a turn with spectacular solo passages.
The ensemble passages are very satisfying. the clarinet part which i think is intended as the principal, is the easiest to get through but as always, takes skill to make an impression. Alternate lead part for violin and alternate cello for the viola give you some room to accommodative who you have available.

It was so easy to download this music. I had been trying to find pieces for the combination of clarinet, cello and piano and so it was good to be able to just pick out the pages I wanted. Thank you for solving my problem and at such reasonable cost.

The Mozart piece has always been a favorite. It's been recorded by the likes of Yo Yo Ma and Emanuel Ax with Richard Stoltzman. The parts were easy to download and print and included optional violin and cello parts. We will be performing the Trio at our church in a few weeks.
Rating: 5 For Clarinet, Viola and Piano by on February 12, 2008 @3:54 pm PST
Should be noted that the correct instrumentation is for Clarinet, Viola and Piano. The clarinet is not the "optional" part at all.

This is a superb piece, a real treat for all three players.

A very pleasant piece for amateur chamber musicians

One of the finest examples of chamber music. This is what chamber music should be. Of special note is the rondo finale, where each instrument is featured as the 'a' theme is passed around.
