haven't played them yet, but I like the looks of the bowings and the written-out ornamentations. Some of the keys are different from the original but I suspect that's to fit them into bottom of viola range. I have another edition which has way too many slurs - this one keeps it simple. And it's such great music, good to have for this duo combo for more advanced players (goes to 4 & 5 flats)

The arrangement style is a little unexpected - trills and ornaments written out, for example - but they are great to have.

This was a nice set it came with violin and viola parts separately and one with both parts together. Everyone recognizes these classic Bach pieces. Some of them sound a little like exercises but they're perfectly fine for incidental music and we chose two of them to play at a memorial service. Who doesn't love to play, or hear, Bach.

This is a great set of pieces to use in a vln/vla duo recital. use 3 per concert - choose the ones you like and relate to. speed and clarity of execution are essential.
