This is a lovely piece, and can be played just as well on a standard B flat clarinet.

This is lovely music, although shortened from the original, but the melody is all there. It's a very nice piece for bass clarinet, which is a difficult instrument to find nice solos for. Although easy, the level of interpretation makes it more enjoyable to play. The music is mostly the low notes, which allows for the lovely sonorous effects of a bass clarinet.
