I think you are painting 'rock music' with a broad brush. A lot of rock/pop is pretty dern silly and cheesy and pointless, but there is a lot of good music out there as well. I certainly get frustrated with the heavy rotation radio that plays the flavor of the month 100 times a week, but there is stuff out there that is good.

Hey, they did have a riot at the premiere of Rite of Spring. Again, you are painting rock music with a broad brush. I don't think you'd see the same sort of audience reaction at Motorhead versus James Taylor, but they are both 'rock'.

Come on guys, grow up! I didn't start this thread so people would bash the music other people listen to! Please don't do this!!!! I was just curious to see what kind of music the people who post here listen to, I didn't want to start any arguments! :*(

Motorhead just teasing...mostly...
Sorry, Twice Born, I was actually enjoying the discussion with YKB. But, yeah, we should probably keep the arguments off the thread so people can post what they like. He threw the Corinthians 2:14 fireball, though

Ok, then go ahead and continue your discussion. I can't stop you.
Yeah, he likes the 1 Cor 2:14, he uses it on me a lot too. I get so sick of it!!!!

I think we'd end up with about 50 posts that would wind up with both of us back in the same place as far as what our opinions are, while annoying everyone on this board, so we should probably leave it where it is and let people use the thread for what you intended.
It does bring up an interesting point in my mind, though... Why did you ask the question in the first place? I ask that in a nice way. Meaning, there might be music that I would recommend to you, but I'm not sure what is acceptable or not acceptable.

Lol, good point.
I was just curious. No reason really. You can reccomend anything you want, although I might not listen to it. I'm pretty stuck with what I listen to right now!
