Question Flute brands

I'm thinking about maybe getting a new flute, hopefully real soon. What are some really good flutes that don't cost too much??? I'm looking on EBay and Amazon but I don't know what names to look for. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Default flute brands

There are several brands that are not too expensive. Bundy, gemeinhardt, yamaha, armstrong. My personal favorite among these is Gemeinhardt. It plays nice, has a nice tone and is well made. Good luck in your search!

Will $100 or so get me an ok flute? I'm looking at some Gemeinhardt flutes and the cheapest student flute I can find is $380! I don't have that kind of money for a flute!!!

I think I might be able to use my flute now! YAY!!!!! I emailed the guy at firstact.com and sent him my flute serial number and he said he'd send me one free of charge! I'm so happy!!!! Now I just need a sound proof room where I can practice without getting yelled at. Lol. That's a good way to get the room to myself, I either practice my flute or start singing and everyone leaves.
