Name that Musician!
I'll give you a biography of a Musician and you try and name them!
I play(ed) the Cello. I was very famous!
In 1972 a serious illness stoped my brilliant career.
I died in Oct 1987 due to MS
Ok... If you need a hint I can give you one. Just let me know. :-)

I am not very well informed in great cello performers, it would be a lot easier for me if you asked for a violinist . But by the way, is Jacqueline du Pré the one you have in mind? I remember she died in 80s, being young and her death put an end to a successful and still promising music career..

I played trumpet with the Dallas Sym. Orch. until I accepted my current position of principle trumpet of The Philadelphia Orchestra.
(This guy might be my future teacher soon. )
