This was purchased for an early advanced violin student, in the hopes that it would be a delightful arrangement of the original Handel's Messiah piece. However, it was NOT a traditional arrangement and left out 90% of the melody and theme. I would not purchase this one again!
Nice Violin Solo

Handel was truly a musical wonder. "For unto us a Child Is Born", from his oratorio, Messiah, is the second most recognizable score of Messiah, next to the Hallelujah Chorus itself.
Made for violin with piano accompaniment, this sheet music is excellent for violin. It will bless the hearers while providing a degree of challenge to the violinist that he/she can present to the God from whom the Messiah was sent and for whom the music Messiah was written.
Play the music fast enough to show the difficulty intended for Messiah's vocalists, but play it at no more than andante to bring out the beauty of violin vibrato as a majestic gift to the Giver of the Messiah for whom the holiday is named.
