James Gallway has a version of this on a recording for Flute and Guitar. It is fabulous! Check it out if you are looking for great playing.

well edited

clearly printed, well edited Score, makes it possible , to play well, necessary strokes and numbers of bars make playing comfortable. Nice design- coloured with an interesting fantastic artistic picture, with nice type, live dates of composer, it's the money worth.

Well this a great piece if u look at the sample pag and you cant play it please dont buy it because the first page is nothing compared to the skill you need to play this. My orchestra and me are playing this with a solo violinist and it is sounding great!!!!

I played the piece during my school prize day and got a huge round of applause....therefore people who are not interested in music, especially chamber music, liked this piece therefore it is beautiful!!

I love this composer, and this is one of his better pieces. The key is what makes it difficult - lots of sharps and flats!

But who...?
by on February 5th, 2007
I remember seeing this played by one of the old masters, but I can't for the life of me remember who. All I remember is that he did the downruns in pitzicatto. unbelievable.

impressed....but not totally
by on January 14th, 2007
true this piece sounds hard and to some extent it is but if you practice it you will eventually get it. If you think this is the hardest violin piece then you need to listen to real violin pieces

This must be the hardest Violin solo I've ever heard. Bravo to anyone who considers attempting it!

This is a great piece!

This classic piece is incredible in the way that it can sound almost totally random then come together as a beautiful and fast piece. The double stops and harmonics (I think) make the Goblins come to life.
