Hi, Thanks very much for the instruction. What I can't understand is the rhythm of the op45, no40 Wohlfahrt. It sounds as if you're playing triplets. From the way its written I am expecting to play dit, dit dah, ie short short long with the emphasis on the long. Is this a property of ricochet to play it like you and others seem to play?

I too am sorry to hear about Todd Ehle unable to do videos for VSM. I am a teacher that uses his videos to not only help my students, but also to inspire me. God speed, Todd, on your future endeavers.

Dear Becky, as I said below, we are really sad too about Todd's decision to leave us here... and we hope to have him back in the future!

In the meantime we are looking for someone else making Advanced Violin videos for us. We are working hard to find a replacement, but as you can understand it is not easy! Stay tuned for more coming up... thank you again for your kindness and interest!

I am so sorry that Todd Ehle will no longer be presenting videos for VSM - He presents technique with a depth that is understandable and entertaining. I have enjoyed his teaching videos on Youtube, and was especially pleased when he appeared here. He is a special teacher, and I say ditto to all the preceding comments.

I am as sad as member John Woodbridge when I read the email from VSM telling me that Professor Ehle will not be posting new videos. I only hope this is due to a tight work schedule and not because of health problems.

In my case, even when his VSM/videos are for students at a more advance level for which I am far from ready to play the music in the video, I always find clear to understand, good techniques that I can easily apply to those learning at the present time.

Thank you Professor Ehle, thank you so much for sharing your expertise with others.

Dear Patricia, as I said to John below, we are sad too about Todd's decision to not making new videos for us in the foreseeable future. We really hope to have him again sooner or later. Don't worry though, this sad news it is nothing related to Todd's health, it is just that his current schedule doesn't allow him to provide us more of his excellent videos. But our hope to have him back will never fade!

Really sad to hear that Todd will be unavailable for new videos. I have enjoyed the series immensely and found them to be very useful.

Thank you so much for this! I learned using Wohlfahrt but never felt confident with ricochet bowing- couldn't seem to keep it going smoothly throughout the entire piece. But you've done such an excellent explanation with the details of this technique that I've gained new insight...You truly have a gift for teaching- thanks again for sharing this gift!
