 | I like grasshopper as a title by matthew hackett on March 1st, 2008 |
| Although I found it easy, I agree that this should't be the label given to it as easy often translates to dull for people who hear it and this sonata is anything but that. I find it interesting that if an experienced player plays it they almost always play it far too fast due to the alla breve timing on it whereas younger or inexperienced players play it very well! | I love this song I can play it but am going to some chopin first then i will do beethoven's Moonlight.I also have a C.D. on this song. I think It will have more effect if it was played at night in the moonlight, well not outside but at night win there's a moonshine then play it. Then it will probably get more affect if your hands are not cold. | I have been practicing this piece for the past year and a half. Nothing has been as great a challenge for me as a pianist for the past fourteen years; at the same time, no other piece has provoked such powerful emotions (1st movement), such beautiful pondering (2nd movement), and such playful elegance (the final movement). My favorite movement, by far, is the first. This movement provokes every possible feeling in the sphere of pathos (suffering)--i.e. depression, adrenaline, occasional reluctant acceptance, and an overall raging denial. The most powerful expression of human mortality ever set to music. | Awsone, this pice is very emotional. The first movement changes with your mood it can be happy or sad depending on how you feel when listening to it. The second movement is very short but powerfull enought to combine the first and third movement well together. The third movement is the hardest I been tryind to learn it for some time now its one of the hardes pices I ever tried to learn after The Flight of The Bumblebee. Over all I recomend evry one who is interested into playing piano to try and learn at least the first movemtnt you wont regret it [this review is about Sonata Op.27 No.2 "Moonlight", included in this item] | | | AMAZING by anonymous on December 4th, 2007 |

| I still can't find a piece, but anyway i've heard it more than a thousand times, and even played by mind the first movement! It is difficult, among beethoven's hardest. The first movement is the best, like a dawning sun. The third is second best, nice consoling theme. No comment on the third movement.
